The Tread Skiver Knives shown here are made from AISI A-2 tool steel.
The fact that A-2 contains 5% chromium does not make it a true stainless steel,
but it resists rust. At 52 RC hardness, these are the best knives on the market.
In addition, these knives are available in other air-hardening grades of tool
steel upon request.
