The Solid Carbide Lobe Knives and Bed Knives work together to cut the steel cord fabric which is used
in the manufacturing of steel belted radial tires.
Both types of knives can be reground time and again. Alcon has had customers send knives as thin
as 3/16" back to us for resharpening.
As anyone who is familiar with carbide knows, a good carbide knife can be ruined by careless
handling. Therefore, it is essential for all operators to be made aware of the care which
must be exercised when using these blades.
